CAA-Quebec Joins the Be Tire Smart Campaign

The Rubber Association of Canada and the Government of Canada are pleased to announce that CAA-Quebec has joined the "Be Tire Smart - Play Your PART" campaign to raise awareness of proper tire maintenance habits.

According to a recent survey conducted by The Rubber Association of Canada and the Government of Canada, 70 per cent of vehicles on the road in Canada have at least one tire that is mis-inflated by more than ten per cent. In Quebec, drivers fared moderately better with 63 per cent of vehicles having at least one tire that is mis-inflated by more than ten per cent. These figures prove that educating motorists about the importance of simple tire maintenance must be a high priority.

"We are very happy to have CAA-Quebec on board as a partner in this campaign," said Glenn Maidment, President, The Rubber Association of Canada. "By sharing information related to proper tire maintenance with their thousands of members, Quebec roads will be safer, motorists will save on fuel costs, and greenhouse gas emissions will be reduced."
